Condolence & Memory Journal

I met Eddie in the mid-seventies at WJMO Radio. It was my first time in a radio station and my first job in the business. He was so kind and patient with me - indeed, he was very generous with his time and I learned a lot from him. His sense of humor and easy laugh was so endearing. For years later, as he became a successful radio salesperson and I moved over to TV, whenever we would see one another, we still enjoyed that same spirit of camaraderie. That was Eddie! It you were his friend, you were his friend for life. He had this positive vibe that was contagious; no matter how you were feeling, you always felt better just being in his company. I attribute all of this the fact the he was simply a good guy. He loved his wife and his family above all else and he was so proud of them. He was so successful in business, because people liked and trusted him. Although our paths have not crossed in some time, I feel a sense of loss in his passing. You see, we shared the same birth year and he was just three weeks older than me. My sincere sympathies to Shelley, his children and his grandchildren for I know you have suffered a great loss of a good man...
